Ca' del bosco franciacorta cuvee prestige (Ca' del Bosco)

Drink it now. No need to decant. Serve it at 6/8 °C. Ca 'del Bosco is a reference company in Franciacorta and in the Italian production of high-level sparkling wines. Its story began in the mid-1960s, when Annamaria Clementi bought a small country house in Erbusco locally called "Ca 'del bosc". A few years later her son Maurizio, returning from a trip to Champagne, decided to transform that small house into one of the most modern advanced wineries in the area. Thanks to its extraordinary success, this production reality has seen its vineyard expanded and extended with its own vineyards in 8 different municipalities in Franciacorta. The Cuvée Prestige derives from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, and Pinot Nero. The harvest is manual and fermentation takes place in steel tanks, with 7 months of aging. After blending, the wine is aged on the lees for a further 25 months. In the glass, this wine shows a straw yellow color and a fine and persistent perlage. The aromatic profile is elegant and complex with delicate hints of white flowers and yellow pulp fruit, pastry notes, and a slight herbaceous reference. On the palate the wine is pleasant, clean, and lively, supported aby a marked mineral texture and notes of exotic fruit. It goes well with light appetizers based on fish or vegetables and is excellent with sushi or as an aperitif.
