The name derives from the art café "Qimerioni" launched in Tbilisi, capital of Georgia, on December 28, 1919 aby the group of famous Georgian poets and artists and designed for a wide range of artistic pursuits, including poetry readings, exhibitions and other performances. Artistic. Qimerioni focuses its activity on the traditional Georgian Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Kisi grapes respecting the ancient traditions of Georgian winemaking. The Rkasiteli grapes are hand-picked in the Kakheti region. The grapes are left to macerate on the skins for 6 months and fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts and without any additives in Qvevri. The wine is then aged in Qvevri for a period of up to 12 months. The wine has a characteristic light orange color. On the nose, the aromatic profile shows notes of white fruit and green apple. It is sophisticated and harmonious with a soft finish. Serve with beef steak, barbecue, roasted mushrooms, Asian chickpeas based dishes or cheese.
