Drink it now or cellar for up to 5 years. No need to decant. Binekhi Winery is located in Tbilisi, Georgia, next to the Mtkvari River, where it was founded about 30 years ago. The company owns 90 hectares of vineyards, located in the most important wine regions of the country, where it grows native vines such as Saperavi and international grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon. Their production focuses on red and amber wines, produced both with ancient winemaking methods (such as Qvevri) and with modern techniques. Kindzmarauli is a traditional semi-sweet red Georgian wine made from Saperavi. The name of the wine refers to the homonymous micro-district located in the Kakheti region from which the grapes come. The wine has a bright color with light purple tones. On the nose, it is fragrant with fresh aromas of berries, cherries, blackberries, and some light spicy hints. On the palate, it is light and lively, fruity and velvety. It is balanced, with a pleasant sweet kick and a refreshing and thirst-quenching acidic streak. The tannins are delicate and the finish is long and fruity. Perfect with duck, especially if served with fruit sauces, and with red fruit jam tarts. Serve it slightly chilled to enhance its fresh and fruity character.
